TAMPA — Nineteen Florida companies, including six from the Tampa Bay area, will be featured at the 21st annual Florida Venture Capital Conference, Jan. 31–Feb. 1, at the Naples Grande Beach Resort in Naples, FL.
The Florida Venture Forum (FVF) selected the companies who will be making presentations at the conference. The 19 have been described as “some of Florida’s best early-stage prospects for equity financing.”
Each company will make a 12-minute presentation to an audience of venture capitalists, private equity investors, angel investors, investment bankers, financial intermediaries, service providers and entrepreneurs, organizers said.
Here is a list of the participating companies from the Bay area, with a summary from each of their websites.

Keynote speaker for the event is Tom Evans, President and CEO of Bankrate. Evans has spent 30 years in the media and Internet business and is a veteran of three IPOs. He has been the President & CEO of Bankrate, Inc., since 2004.
The Florida Venture Forum, Inc., was founded in 1984. It describes itself as “the premier entrepreneurial networking group in Florida that provides companies with managerial assistance and identifies sources of venture capital.” To date, more than $2.5 billion of venture capital has been attracted by presenting Florida-based companies since the Florida Venture Capital Conference began 20 years ago.”
