Now that 2011 has come and gone, we have been left with many memories from the best comic book conventions in the country. We remember all the great events that happened at the New York Comic Con, the San Diego Comic-con, and the San Francisco Wondercon, which all take place once a year. Now that 2012 is upon us, that means we get to look forward to them all over again!
The next big event wont be in San Francisco this year. The 2012 Wondercon will be moving to Anaheim, CA at the Anaheim Convention Center. It's the first time it'll be in Southern California, so lets make it a huge deal so it can stay there. Wondercon is from March 16-18, tickets are already on sale so start planning.
The next event is Anime Expo, which is held in LA, CA at the Los Angeles Convention Center. The expo is from June 29-July 2nd. It's still a bit a way, but this event gets bigger each year, and they sell special events separate. Like the masquerade and concerts, getting your pass to get into AX doesn't necessarily mean you'll get into the special events because those require seperate tickets. Make sure you plan ahead so you're sure you'll see everything you look forward to.
Shortly after AX ends, convention goers will head to San Diego for the world famous Comic-Con. Most of the tickets have already sold out for this event at the 2011 Comic-Con. More tickets will be going on sale closer to the date so keep checking back for up to date information. It's also helpful to follow Comic-Con on Twitter, @Comic_Con.
The next big event fans will get to flock to is the New York Comic Con, which is the East Coast's biggest pop culture convention of the year. The event will be held on October 11-14 at the Javits Center in Midtown Manhattan. It's still quite a ways a way, but 4 day passes have already gone on sale, so you may want to pick up yours now and save yourself the hassle later.
As the time draws closer to these exciting events, check back for up to date information on each of them, and always have a great convention year!
