- Leyva, the reigning U.S. champion and current World champion on parallel bars, will get his first shot at an American Cup title after being the alternate in 2009 and 2010.
- There are only seven names on the list at the moment because the eighth withdrew, and USA Gymnastics is still waiting to fill the post.
- An alternate who will stand by in case of injury to one of the competitors will be named later, according to USA Gymnastics.

Notes:
- If she wins this meet, World champion Wieber will have won three of the four American Cups this quad. She won her first American Cup in 2009, at the tender age of 13.
- Raisman and Wieber, both now professional athletes, will be competing not just for the prestige of having won the American Cup, but for the 12,000 Swiss Francs prize money.
