2012-13 NBA season: Memphis @ Miami preview

A very nice NBA match up takes place in Miami as the Heat host the Memphis Grizzles.

Records: Memphis 38-18, Miami 41-14

Kick-off: 8 p.m. EST

Television: ESPN

Spread: Miami by 8

Over/under: 187.5

Last meeting: Memphis 104, Miami 86 (2012)

Points per game: The Grizzles are averaging 93.3 points per game while Miami is averaging 103.9.

Rebounds per game: Memphis averages 42.9 boards per outing while the Heat are averaging 38.6 rebounds per game.

Assists per game: The Grizzles are putting up 21 assists per outing while Miami is averaging 22.6 per game.

Points allowed per game: Memphis is giving up 89.5 points per outing while the Heat have allowed 96.7 points on average this season.

Thoughts: The Grizzles will be coming off a win over the Dallas Mavericks while the Heat took care of the Sacramento Kings. I feel Memphis will be looking to prove they are for real as they battle the World Champions on national television. Miami wins a close one but I’d take the Grizzles with the points as well as the over.
