2012-13 NBA season: LA Clippers @ Houston preview

A nice Western Conference match-up takes place tonight as the Houston Rockets welcome in the Los Angeles Clippers.

Records: LA Clippers 29-9, Houston 21-17

Kick-off: 8 p.m. EST

Television: Fox South West # 2, CSN Houston

Spread: OFF

Over/under: OFF

Last meeting: LA Clippers 95, Houston 91 (2012)

Points per game: The Clippers are averaging 101.7 points per game while Houston is averaging 105.4.

Rebounds per game: Los Angeles averages 41.8 boards per outing while the Rockets are averaging 43 rebounds per game.

Assists per game: The Clippers are putting up 23.8 assists per outing while Houston is averaging 22.8 per game.

Points allowed per game: Los Angeles is giving up 92.8 points per outing while the Rockets have allowed 103.3 points on average this season.

Thoughts: The Clippers are coming off a win last night over the Memphis Grizzles while Houston fell to the Philadelphia 76ers in their last contest. The Clippers may struggle; playing road games back to back while the Rockets have been shaky on defense as of late. In the end, I expect Los Angeles to be favored but I’m going with Houston to win a close one tonight.
