2011 WSOP Main Event money bubble burst, Negreanu and Lamb still in contention

It was a fast-paced day at the 2011 World Series of Poker Main Event on Friday, and even with the money bubble looming just a few hours into the day the players didn’t seem to slow down at all. By the end of the night just 378 of the original 853 players who started Day 4 were left standing including such notable names as Daniel Negreanu, 2010 Bluff Magazine Player of the Year Sorel Mizzi, UK pro JP Kelly, EPT Snowfest winner Vladimir Geshkenbein, 2006 Main Event 4thplace finisher Allen Cunningham, Team Full Tilt Pro Erick Lindgren, and one of the hottest poker players in the world at the moment Ben Lamb.

Of the above group the two players to really keep your eyes on are Ben Lamb –who with a 138thor better finish will surpass Phil Hellmuth on the 2011 WSOP Player of the Year leader-board—and the young Russian, Geshkenbein, who is a beast when he has a big stack, and that is precisely what he takes into Day 5 of the WSOP Main Event currently sitting in 14thplace.

Another player that will garner a lot of attention on Saturday is Amanda Musemeci. Musemeci is not the last female player standing, but with the eliminations of Sandra Naujoks, Vanessa Rousso, and Kristy Gazes on Day 4 she is the last notable female player remaining, and is also sitting on a big-stack of over 1 million chips. Musemeci burst onto the poker scene after winning a Bodog contest to find a young, female, online poker player to represent the site –a bargain she is living up to with her deep WSOP run!
