2011 Residue

Residue as defined by the Encarta dictionary means something left over.  Today, the calendar marks the end of 2011 physically but mentally is it ending for you?  What residue will you bring into 2012?

Will you feel joy or sorrow that manifested from this past year’s events or will you be numb as a result of denial?  Regardless of the emotions you’ll start the New Year with, just be sure to feel them.  If properly felt, emotions are temporary, they crash in and then dissipate as they are absorbed.  Deny them and you’ll find yourself stuck in a time warp without any movement forward.

Sometimes, you may feel it is necessary to avoid your emotions by opting for this numbing affect.  It will allow you to hide from their wrath but while you’re hiding, your life is put on hold.  Yes, it may help you survive but by no means is it healthy.  Who wants to just survive?  You want to make the most of your time here on earth, to do more than just survive, to be successful in your endeavors.
