It is almost time for the annual Signature Chefs Auction of Dallas! This is an exciting fundraising gala for the March of Dimes. Twenty top local chefs prepare food for the guests while premium wine tasting and exclusive live auction items are also included -- a truly unique fine dining event. All funds benefit the March of Dimes mission to ensure all babies are born healthy.
The March of Dimes is the leading nonprofit organization for pregnancy and baby health. Premature is the most common threat to the health of babies in the United States, which affects one out of seven babies in Texas. At 13.3 percent, Texas’ premature birth rate is higher than the national average of 12.3 percent. With the funds raised from events like Signature Chefs Auction, March of Dimes Dallas Division is able to carry out the organization’s mission of preventing birth defects, premature birth and infant mortality on a local level through research, community services, education and advocacy.
The event will take place November 12, 2011 at the Fairmont Hotel in Dallas. The Lead Chef for this exquisite feast will be Kent Rathbun of Abacus, Jasper’s, Rathbun’s Blue Plate Kitchen and Zea Woodfire Grill.
