History of the Infiniti M
The Infiniti M started out as a two door, "GT Coupe" and later became the performance luxury sedan we know today. Production of the Infiniti M30 ran from 1990 until 1992 when sales began to drop. The first Infiniti M was based on the Japanese version Nissan Leopard, but featured left-hand drive, added amenities, and the Infiniti badging. The tuning abilities in this first vehicle are great, due to chassis design and light weight advantage compared to other competition in the same class.

From 2003 to 2005, the Infiniti M returned with a monster 340 horsepower V8 and four door sedan chassis style based on the Nissan Gloria. This vehicle is a true JDM classic to some sports car enthusiasts. Being based on the JDM Nissan Gloria, a true JDM enthusiasts love the re-badged Infiniti M45 regardless of it's weight and sedan classification. Typically, JDM vehicles come from the manufacturer slightly different than the USDM models. However, the USDM Infiniti M45 was nearly identical to the JDM edition, creating a following a true JDM enthusiasts.

In 2006 the vehicle was completely redesigned and included great options such as engine choice between V6 and V8, as well as an optional drive train upgrade to all-wheel drive. This is the Infiniti M that shook the automotive earth! It won many awards against BMW, Mercedes-Benz, and Lexus for interior, performance, and design. An overwhelming response to this vehicle occurred within the first couple months of sales. A true JDM performance luxury machine, the M35 and M45 was the first version of the Infiniti M to capture many hearts.
