In the beautiful and vibrant town of Poultney, Vermont there is an equally vibrant group of passionate writers who meet to celebrate one of their town's famous former residents: "Horace Greeley, founder of the New York Tribune, suffragist, opponent of slavery, and man of letters, learned the newspaper trade in East Poultney, Vermont. He rose from humble beginnings to become one of the nation's most respected journalists" (from thegreeleyfoundation.org). This annual gathering of writers and workshop leaders is always lively and inspiring... a fall treat for any person of letters.
