2011 Grammys draw largest total audience in ten years

What was it about this year's Grammys that made people want to tune in? It's hard to say for sure, but the show overall managed to pull in its largest audience in ten years according to the preliminary numbers that have been released.

Overall, the show brought in an overall audience of 26.55 million people (up 3% from last year) along with a 18-49 rating of 10.0 (which is the highest of the sort since 2004).

What we can say are likely contributors to this increase include the television debut of Lady Gaga's "Born This Way," Justin Bieber playing a major role, and also the presence of such industry icons as Mick Jagger and Barbra Streisand. However, the response by viewers to some of the awards handed out has been mediocre at best.

Were you watching this year's Grammys for any specific reason?
