As most know, the Fashion Week for the Autumn and Winter of 2011 just ended and the styles and trends brought to the shows by various designers were fabulous. Looking beyond the clothing, the makeup trends presented for this coming Spring, Summer, Autumn and Winter were absolutely stunning.
Back in September during fashion week Spring and Summer 2011, it was apparent to be prepared to stock up on gorgeous pastels and along with bright hues in your makeup kit. Even highly pigmented silvers were seen during the Spring and Summer Fashion Week. As discussed in part one of the Spring and Summer beauty tips, a flawless, glowing face with a bright played up eye is what the sunny weather is calling for this coming season. However, this trend can also be reversed; try doing a plain eye with bold colored lips. Many makeup artists, such as Tom Pecheux, are saying they are leaving the color black behind and strictly playing with color this coming season. That includes colored eye liners and mascaras.
Coming up in the Fall, crimson hues were among the most commonly used tones on the eye makeup during fashion week. Diane Kendal described one of her red creations as being inspired by the "sunset over the Sahara desert". This was look was a bright shade of red over the entire eye lid accompanied by gold and yellow shimmer tones in the crease to create a beautiful blend of oranges, yellows, and reds. For lip colors, deep maroons and purples were among the most popular shades on the models for Autumn and Winter trends.
Of course walking around in Fresno sporting such a dramatic look may be a bit 'costume-esc'.
