"It's nice to know America still builds rockets" is a very inspiring yet simple statement. I didn't know that we quit building them, but I guess it's still a catchy advertisement. Visually appealing and adding credibility to the Corvette, comparing the 2011 Corvette to space travel and rocketry is a smart move. Science, engineering, and the American will to succeed is what America stood for in the 1960's when space travel was at it's peak. When we landed on the moon, we sent a message to the world. Is the 2011 Corvette going to do the same?

If the 2011 is anything like the first appearance of the Corvette ZR1, I'd say America has a good shot at retaining it's muscle car lineage despite the new green ideology. Oil spills, radical tree-huggers, and more anti-American communist types are trying their best to destroy what we all love even though their attempt to cure us is creating more problems than we would have if they just let everything be. Sure they are hitting below the belt by destroying a coast line and sacrificing sea creatures, but you can't hit what you can't catch! Good luck keeping up with the 2011 Corvette series, check out these specifications.

America and the world has grown to love and respect the Corvette. From it's original inception, the Corvette name started out as the fastest ship on the seas; now it's literally the fastest car on the street. When properly modified, the Corvette chassis, motor, and transmission can all support upwards of 1,000 horsepower. If you're looking for out of the box performance, the Corvette has always been second to none outside of the terrible 1980's. A lot has changed about the Corvette, but much still remains the same.
