2011 Chrysler Town & Country: We Have Official Photos and Information

Chrysler today has released a cache of photos and information about the 2011 Chrysler Town & Country minivan and we have collected them for your review!

The big news here is the vastly improved interior that should be a hit with owners.  The exterior also shows some newly sculpted lines as well.

Very important to buyers will be the inclusion of Chrysler's new Pentastar V6 engine.  The Pentastar V-6 engine mated to a six-speed automatic transmission will pump out 283 horsepower and 260 lb.-ft. of torque,  The estimated fuel economy of this model should be 17 miles per gallon (mpg) city and 25 mpg highway.  When you compare the older 4.0-liter, 3.8-liter and 3.3-liter V-6 engines that used to power Chrysler's minivans, this becomes even more impressive:  For example, the top of the line 4.0-liter produced only 251 HP compared to the new unit's 283!

Overall, expect a minivan with new found refinement.  Just in time to meet all-new competitors the 2011 Honda Odyssey, 2011 Toyota Sienna and the 2011 Nissan Quest!

Stay tuned to my column for more details as they emerge!

The worst thing of that vehicle has to be the slanted child seat due to the single safety access point. Imagine sitting in that seat constantly, constantly fighting the feeling that you're going to fall over and not being able to sit relaxed on a flat surface. Put some rolled up towels or some type of wedge under that chair dude and level your kids chair.
