2011 Blizzard Starcraft and Diablo releases--maybe.

Blizzard Entertainment's Dustin Browder, Michael Morhaime and Rob Pardo, in interviews with Kotaku and Eurogamer, have confirmed that while the Starcraft 2: Heart of the Swarm expansion is unlikely to appear in 2011, they are hopeful that Diablo 3 will come out.

When asked if Starcraft 2 expansion "Heart of the Swarm" would be out this year in an interview with Eurogamer, Dustin Browder (game director) said, "I don't think you'll be playing it this year. That seems very unlikely to me. But we're pounding away on it as fast as we possibly can."

At the Interactive Arts and Sciences Awards, Brian Crecente, from Kotaku.com, asked Morhaime and Pardo (Blizzard Entertainment Founder and Executive Vice President respectively) if Diablo 3 would see release this year, Pardo replied, "We really, really hope so. That's our goal," although as is usual for Blizzard, reminded us, "Our goal is to get there. But you know, at the end of the day, we are going to get it right. That's more important."

In any case, the good news is that Activision Blizzard has announced that if Blizzard produces no games in 2011, then there will be a minimum of two released in 2012. They did not say which, but people can probably guess fairly well which two those are...
