2011 albums and tours from Van Halen and the Rolling Stones? Maybe.

There have been recent reports of future studio albums and tours from Van Halen and the Rolling Stones. However, before being quick in marking your calendars, it should also be known that the information is a little bit in the “gray area”.

Van Halen is among the acts (according to Live Nation) expected to fill stadiums during the 2011 year. They are also expected to work on their first studio album since 1998 (and since 1984 with David Lee Roth). But that only seems to be just rumors. In fact, Live Nation Ticketmaster chairman Irving Azoff have mentioned about a tour that would have gone underway in 2010, but that didn’t happen. As for the rumored album, that hasn’t even been recorded either.

As for the Rolling Stones, they have also been rumored to go on tour in 2011, up until 2012. And it’s expected to be their last. Also according to Keith Richards, a new album is also in the works. However, neither a tour nor album has been confirmed. Even a spokesperson for the band, has mentioned on their website, that there were “no concrete plans” of either the two ever happening. Furthermore, this isn’t the first time the Stones have announced a tour to be their last. In fact, they did it one in 1971, and again in 1982.

But again, these recent reports of Van Halen and the Rolling Stones are just rumors. In other words, it will probably happen and it probably won’t happen. Fans will probably have to stay posted for any future reports, which will surely come in the near future.
