It’s American Idol vs. The Bachelor for this year’s red carpet TV coverage at the Oscars. The Academy Awards are just nine days away, and TV networks are busy making their plans for their exclusive red carpet coverage. Ryan Seacrest from American Idol and Giuliana Rancic host the dazzling pre-Oscars coverage for E!, while Chris Harrison from The Bachelor heads up TV Guide Channel’s coverage. Here’s the scoop on both:
- Live from the Red Carpet on E!: Ryan Seacrest and Julianna Rancic are once again teaming up to cover all red carpet action from the Academy Awards for the E! Network. Expanded coverage begins on Sunday, February 27th at 2:00 p.m. ET/ 11:00 a.m. PT.
- Academy Awards Red Carpet on TV Guide Channel: Chris Harrison from The Bachelor hosts Oscar red carpet action for TV Guide. The show airs at 6:00 p.m. ET/3:00 p.m. PT. In addition, Harrison is the host of a series of on-line Oscar specials for Oscar.com. The first episode premieres today.
The 83rd Annual Academy Awards airs at 8:30/7:30c on Sunday, February 27th on ABC.
