2010 Sundance Film Festival begins Thursday; Twilight Stars expected. The 2010 Sundance Film Festival begins Thursday in Park City, Utah and will bring movie goers from around the world. Each year, Sundance brings out dozens of celebrities promoting movies that they hope will make it to mainstream audiences. The festival lasts 10 days and this year has been expanded to eight other cities around the country, for more on that story and the list of cities, click here.
The Sundance Film Festival has brought some major movies to mainstream including: "An Inconvenient Truth," "Little Miss Sunshine" "Reservoir Dogs," and last year’s “Paranormal Activity.”
“The Runaways” has some of the hottest movie buzz at this year’s Sundance Film Festival. It is a musical biographical drama about an all-girl rock band that included Joan Jett and Lita Ford. Joan Jett produced the film and is expected to attend. Kristen Stewart from Twilight plays Joan Jett in the movie and is also expected. Dakota Fanning, also from Twilight is also in the film and is expected to appear.
Two documentaries about paparazzi are premiering this year at Sundance are "Smash His Camera" and "Teenage Paparazzo."
