2010 Resolution Number Four: Enjoy Life More

Stop and smell the . . .
Stop and smell the . . .
Jan Gribble

Dogs neither live in the past nor worry about the future. Dogs live very much in the present so each day offers the opportunity for great enjoyment. Your dog’s world is experienced through his sense of touch, taste, hearing, smell and vision.

Resolve to spend at least an hour a week with your dog exploring his world. Take a walk in the Bosque or hike the Sandias. Stop and experience the occasion as your dog does – okay, you don’t have to roll in that great smell, but take a deep breath and smell the environment, stop talking and listen to the world around you, look rather than glance at nature.
