2010 Oil spill conspiracy theories: True or false?

2010 Oil spill conspiracy theories: True or false?

Since the beginning of the BP oil spill disaster on April 20, 2010, conspiracy theories have been an explanation for much of the unexplained. Why did BP use so much chemical dispersant, despite EPA orders to stop? CNN and MSNBC reported stories of dead dolphins and other marine life corpses being buried by BP before photographers could turn photos into headlines. Even now, independent science seems to be fighting an uphill battle in getting out information on the aftermath and long term environmental damage from the worst oil spill in US history.

Below are just a few links that lead to a different kind of story about the 2010 Gulf oil spill disaster. It is up to the individual to decide if they are true or false?

Matt Simmons: BP, CIA conspiracy theory suggested behind his unexpected death

Before his unexpected death, Simmons had become a whistle blower against BP and the US government. He used his oil industry and government connections to reveal information about the BP oil spill disaster that he claimed were deliberately hidden from the public. The confusion surrounding the exact cause of his recent death has sparked reports that he was assassinated by ......

BP media blackout feeds conspiracy theory with false govt. reports of vanishing oil

A new University of Georgia study says that reports of vanishing oil are false because the analysis was “flawed” and slanted in favor of BP. In reality, 80 percent of the oil spilled in the Deepwater Horizon disaster remains in the Gulf of Mexico....

BP dispersant: The Agent Orange of the Gulf oil spill disaster

As of August 5, the government reported collecting a total of 3,606 dead birds, 508 dead sea turtles and 67 dead mammals from the Gulf. Collected and actually killed are two different things. The real numbers are likely to be considerably higher. There is a lot to hide beneath the Gulf oil spill disaster, and a lot of financial motivation to hide it. So much so that.....

BP buys Google, Yahoo search words:Is it to keep people from real news on Gulf oil spill disaster?

In their most tenacious effort to control the ‘spin’ on the worst oil spill disaster in US history, BP has purchased sponsored links at the top of internet search engines, Google and Yahoo. The top listed links direct people to BP's official company website for news and information on the catastrophe. BP spokesman Toby Odone confirmed to ABC News that the oil giant had in fact bought internet search terms.....

Whistle blower: BP dispersant poses greater risk than admitted: EPA does flip flop on Corexit

Since the Deepwater Horizon rig exploded on April 20, more than 300 million gallons of oil and gas have gushed into the Gulf of Mexico.  With the well temporarily capped, reports are beginning to claim that there is little visible oil left, and environmental damage is not significant.  However, there are both scientists and officials close to the situation who believe that data is being manipulated to hide an undesirable truth....

Oil spill media blackout evidence: BP buying scientists to hide data

BP has been buying scientists throughout the Gulf Coast region in an effort to keep their findings on the affects of the oil spill quiet. Scientists at Louisiana State University, Alabama University, the University of Southern Mississippi,  the University of Southern Alabama, and other independent scientists, have all been approached by BP with a contract for silence.....

BP oil spill: Gulf of Mexico environmental damage may be permanent: NOAA video

Environmental expert Rick Steiner told NBC news today that due to the amount of oil already spilled into the Gulf of Mexico from the BP Macondo well disaster, there is a real possibility that the environment will never recover. .....

Gulf oil spill disaster: Media blackout hides critical data on relief wells: Video, photos

The media blackout is as much of a clue to the BP Deepwater Horizon disaster story as the oil itself, you just have to connect the dots. Once you do, it all makes sense. Mississippi Canyon Block 252 in the Gulf of Mexico is a deep core monster. Seismic studies done  in 2003  showed huge pockets of methane gas under volcanic pressure. "Some speculate as much as 100,000 psi — far too much for current technology to contain," said, Energy and Capital Editor, Christian DeHaemer. There is...

BP Community Liaison Kindra Arnesen: Human life is 'expendable' in Gulf oil spill disaster: Video

BP Community Liaison Kindra Arnesen said that as far as BP and the US government are concerned, human life is ‘expendable’ in Gulf oil spill crisis. She also believes the media blackout is being driven by political and financial motives.....

Did President Obama sell out the American people to BP for an oil spill media blackout and money?

Time lines can tell us a lot. In the case of the BP oil spill, there are three major events to play connect the dots with which create a map to the media blackout that is more obvious every day.

Apart from the early stages of the 3 month old disaster, recent events can be tied to the evaporation of new information on what may turn out to be, the most devastating unnatural disaster the world has ever seen....

Some of these theories are just outlandish and were probably written while being abducted by aliens or after too many hits on the bong. Quite amusing though. The same people that quieted environmental and animal rights activists when these pipelines were approved are now showing dire concern about the results of what we've always known would happen.

Oil companies and drug companies can and clearly will do whatever they want and government will never stop them. Only the people can stop them. Stop buying their gas and use fuel alternatives. Make your next car purchase a fully electric Nissan Leaf. Purchase those Yokahama tires made with orange oil. Show your children how to make a difference.
