Initial Reactions

• Hardly surprised to see Kansas snag the No. 1overall seed. The Big 12 was widely considered to be the strongest conference in America this season. "Gotta be the easiest decision the committee had to deal with all weekend" - Seth Davis, CBS
• There is not a single bubble team in the Midwest region. Way to bring clarity early on in the program CBS!
• Whoa, RPI-wise, the Midwest is stacked. Georgetown (7), Tennessee (14), Northern Iowa (17), San Diego State (18), Maryland (23), Ohio State (26), Michigan State (28), Oklahoma State (32), Georgia Tech (33). Lots of quality competition right there.
• I'm very shocked that Florida ended up getting a 10-seed. Lots of bracketologists saw them as a 12 or 13 at the very least. The committee must love Billy Donovan, eh?
• The look of relief on the face of Tubby Smith after seeing his Gophers snag an 11-seed was great. This bid will be huge for him to keep on landing elite recruits. 
• It looks like the committee decided to lump a handful of the most dangerous mid-majors in the West this year (BYU, Gonzaga, Butler, Xavier, UTEP). Gonzaga's 8-seed is a serious snub to me. The Bulldogs are a much better team than Butler in my book. Psssst...Don't tell anybody.
• I don't care how good people think Cornell is. Temple as a 5-seed is murderous. The Owls should've been in the running for a 3, let alone a 4. There's no way the Big Red win that game. 
• Marquette's celebration party looked like it was being held at Bennigan's. Yeah, that's pretty much awesome. I wish I was there.
• Not sure Clemson deserved a 7-seed after choking in the ACC tourney. They had a 7 last year and didn't do anything with it. They also had a better body of work a year ago. 
• I would've expected Winthrop to get something better than the play-in game after their past tourney success. Odd. They struck me as a 15.
• Upset special in the South? How about Old Dominion, Siena, Utah State AND Richmond? These are all teams that could do some serious damage. Be verrry careful when filling out your South brackets.
