One of the great things about being the Detroit Walking Fitness Examiner is being able to bring to readers news about wonderful things going on in the world of walking. The Priority Health, Eaton Corporation, Fox2Detroit Michigan Baby Walks are no exception.


Tomorrow’s Child/Michigan SIDS(sudden infant death syndrome) “is dedicated to preserving the lives of babies and healing families one day at a time.”  And supporting the walks helps to provide support, education and outreach to families, caregivers, and others throughout Michigan affected by the death of an infant.  Here are the dates and times for the scheduled walks:


Macomb/Oakland,  Sat, 9-18-2010 at 10am, Dodge Park, Sterling Heights, Check in at 8:45am;     Wayne County,  Sun, 9-19-2010 at 2pm,  Nankin Mills Pavilion, Hines Park, Check in at 12:45pm;    West Michigan,   Sun, 9-26-2010 at 2pm,   Celery Flats Interp Center, Portage, Check in at 12:45pm;     Mid-Michigan,  Sun, 10-3-2010 at  Noon, Hawk Island County Park, Lansing, Check in at 10:45am.


Walking for fitness is great on many levels, physical, psychological, and even spiritual; and when combined with the love of walking with a great cause, you get a sure win/win situation.
