We must make our election between economy and liberty

PAULA DOCKERY: This State Senator has excellent bona fides from serving in Florida goverment since 1996, when she was elected to the Florida House of Representatives after a career in the insurance industry.
Dockery is a skilled legislator, and has been active in Florida environmental issues, sponsoring the Florida Forver Act which kicked the door in for Preservation 2000, the land act that promotes acquisition and preservation of environmentally sensitive lands.
She is also a strong supporter of law enforcement initiatives, working to push for passage of the Anti-Murder Act of 2007, which created a system of identifying potentially dangerous probation violators and requiring them to return to jail until it can be determined whether or not they pose a significant threat to society.
Her bipartisan track record in government is considerable; however, she hasn't been able to marshall the Democratic party support or ignite the fund-raising machine necessary to challenge McCollum.
