For those following Layne Norton, you'll be happy to hear the first year pro qualified at the IFPA Pro International, Kansas City, making him eligible for the 2010 IFPA Yorton Cup. Though this was not a show Norton originally planned to participate in he took to the stage with a well conditioned and hard physique to earn fifth place in the heavy weight class. This was not an easy accomplishment as this is a prestigious natural bodybuilding competition with other well sculpted athletes.
The first place win was well earned by Philip Ricardo Jr. with a highly conditioned, vascular and shredded physique. This is Ricardo's second overall bodybuilding win at the IFPA Yorton cup with his first in 2007. Ricardo stated on his Facebook page "Thanks everyone! What a show! Probably the toughest Natural Pro show I've ever done! Everyone was in incredible shape and God was really smiling on me today."
The IFPA Yorton Cup is held in Washington DC annually and competitors must qualify for the IFPA Yorton Cup Pro World Championships by placing in the top half of a class at an IFPA event earlier in the year.
Congratulations to Philip Ricardo Jr. and Layne Norton.
