It was ladies' night at the 52nd Annual Grammy Awards Sunday night as Beyonce nabbed six Grammys and Taylor Swift picked up the biggest one of all - Album of the Year for Fearless.
Beyonce, who won Song of the Year for "Single Ladies (Put A Ring On It)" and Best Pop Vocal Performance for "Halo,", brought back Alanis Morissette's '90s anthem, "You Oughta Know," in the middle of her performance of "If I Were A Boy."
"This has been such an amazing night for me," Beyonce said as she picked up her sixth award.
Swift reacted in shock to winning Album of the Year. "I hope you know how much this mean to me and all my producers, that we can take this back to Nashville," she said. "This is the story that when we're 80 years old and we're telling the same story over and over again - this is the story that we're going to be telling. That, in 2010, we won album of the year!"
Michael Jackson's children, Paris and Prince, accepted a Lifetime Achievement Award on behalf of their late father during the ceremony.
Prince spoke eloquently about his father and his legacy and vowed to carry his message forward. "Through all his songs, his message was simple: love. We will continue to help spread the message," Prince said.
Paris, who gave a moving speech at her father's memorial, said simply, "Daddy was supposed to be here, Daddy was going to perform this year." Carrie Underwood, Jennifer Hudson, Usher and Celine Dion performed alongside Jackson's voice to "Earth Song" in tribute.
Jackson's children capped off a night of surprises, including Elton John joining Lady Gaga for a duet of "This Is Your Song," and Stevie Nicks and Swift teaming up for "Rhiannon" and "You Belong With Me."
Country group Zac Brown Band won the Best New Artist Grammy. Swift capped off her hugely successful year with four Grammys. She also won Best Country Album of the Year, in addition to her Album of the Year Award. Kings of Leon won Record of the Year for "Use Somebody."
Andrea Bocelli and Mary J. Blige performed a stirring rendition of "Like A Bridge Over Troubled Water" for the Haiti earthquake victims.
