2010 Golden Globe Awards: Winners and photo slideshow

"Up in the Air" received six Golden Globe nominations  (AP/Evan Agostini)

The 67th annual Golden Globe Awards show aired on NBC, as it opened at The Beverly Hilton with great fanfare and excitement on January 17, 2010. The Golden Globe extravaganza, hosted by Ricky Gervais, was not dampened by the rain, and had such notable presenters as singer Paul McCartney, actress Amy Adams, the classic Sophia Loren, teen heartthrob Chace Crawford, California Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger and comedians Neil Patrick Harris and Jim Parsons, to name just a few.

This year a backstage look found presenters in an opulent black and white French furnished lounge, created by interior designer Kenneth Bordewick. Vintage Lalique and Moura Starr furniture filled the room, which was complete with Gilad Ben-Atzi bronze statues, silk drapery and a crystal chandelier. The stars wined and dined on Moët & Chandon Champagne and Smartwater drinks, as well as gourmet finger foods.

The Golden Globe Awards uniquely cover both television and motion picture achievements, and air across the globe, in over 160 countries.

This year Up in the Air, starring George Clooney, topped the list of nominations with a total of six. Sandra Bullock, Matt Damon and Meryl Streep had two nods each. Glee was the darling of the televised shows with three stars, as well as the series, garnering nominations. Martin Scorsese was honored with The Cecil B. DeMille award for outstanding contributions to the entertainment world.

Winners are noted in bold print and the slideshow is found at the bottom of the page.
