For the first time since the early days of the presidency of Barack Obama in 2009, a wave of scheduled or predicted events around the theme of ‘official’ disclosure of extraterrestrial life to the human civilization of Earth appears to be surging.
The early days of the Obama administration were rife with rumors that ET ‘disclosure is imminent’ and one observer predicted, “An official announcement by the Obama administration disclosing the reality of extraterrestrial life is imminent.”
In fact, Barack Obama’s failure to make ET disclosure turned out to be the top UFO/ET story of 2009.
As of today, almost a year to the day since the 2009 Obama ‘ET disclosure wave’ started, a new 2010 ‘ET disclosure wave has begun to surge.
The 2010 ET disclosure wave is focused around a new set of institutions from the Obama administration – an announcement of an appointment of a person - and then an official denial of this UN appointment - for ‘contact by extraterrestrial civilizations’ at the United Nations, a National Press Club Press conference by U.S. and U.K. nuclear missile UFO whistleblowers, and the Denver ET Affairs November 2010 vote.
An in-depth evaluation of each of these ‘drivers’ in the 2010 ET disclosure wave reveals deep conflicts around what 'extraterrestrial contact' may mean to the SETI ‘search for the extraterrestrial presence’ paradigm as used by the United Nations personnel and bodies, and the UFO and Exopolitics paradigm of ‘extraterrestrial disclosure’ used by citizen-driven initiatives such as the nuclear missile UFO whistleblowers and the proponents of the Denver Extraterrestrials Affairs commission.
The confusion and false expectations of the 2009 ET disclosure wave must be avoided at all costs in the new 2010 ET disclosure wave now surging.
Dr Mazlan Othman & the UN: Just what does ‘extraterrestrial contact’ mean?
In some deep sense, there is still a deep chasm of mis-understanding and cultural conflict between the SETI (Search for Extraterrestrial Intelligence) paradigm that for many years has dominated the discussion at the Royal society and the U.N. Outer space office (UNOOSA), and reality of the UFO and extraterrestrial presence that U.S. nuclear missile UFO whistleblowers, proponents of the Denver ET Affairs commission, and the UFO and exopolitical research community are referring to.
It was initially reported that Dr Mazlan Othman, head of the UN Outer Space Office (UNOOSA) and former director of the Malaysian Space Agency, announced she would explain at a October 4-5, 2010 at a U.K. Royal Society conference on a scientific and social agenda on extraterrestrial life how a proposal to designate her office as the official point of contact with extraterrestrial life will be debated in the U.N. Outer Space Committee, and if approved, sent to the U.N. General Assembly for a vote.
Then in a public email, Dr. Othman stated, "It sounds really cool but I have to deny it," she said of the [London Times] story. She will be attending a conference next week, but she'll be talking about how the world deals with "near-Earth objects".
Other news reports stated, "A UN spokesperson this afternoon told Newslite the story was "nonsense" and insisted there were no current plans to appointment anyone to the role.
"Never-mind… we guess this just means any visiting aliens will have to continue asking to be taken to our leader.
"The spokesperson said: "The Office for Outer Space Affairs, headed by Mazlan Othman, serves as the secretariat to the United Nations Committee on the Peaceful Uses of Outer Space.
"It carries out activities to promote international cooperation in the peaceful uses of outer space and strengthens the use of space science and technology applications.
"The mandate of the Office for Outer Space Affairs is defined by the United Nations General Assembly and there are no plans to change the current mandate.
"The article in the Sunday Times is nonsense."
Prior to this announcement-denial of the UN 'extraterrestrial point of contact,' Dr. Othman is reported to have said.“The continued search for extraterrestrial communication, by several entities, sustains the hope that some day human kind will received signals from extraterrestrials.'
“When we do, we should have in place a coordinated response that takes into account all the sensitivities related to the subject.
“The UN is a ready-made mechanism for such coordination.”
The U.N. General Assembly in 1978 in Decision 33/426 (1978) approved the establishment of an office to investigate ‘extraterrestrial life’. That 1978 Decision has not been implemented to date.
A review of the Committee debates and working papers of the U.N. Outer Space Committee make it clear that by ‘extraterrestrial contact’ is meant contact of the sort envisioned by SETI through the reception of radio signals from a distant point in deep space.
In a fundamental way, this chasm between the SETI-type contact and an actual physical contact from extraterrestrial presence around Earth may serve to fuel false expectations and substantive confusion about what ‘ET contact’ means. There is a vast difference between (1) the sort of SETI-type radio antenna contact that Dr Mazlan Othman and the rest of UNOOSA and the UN General Assembly have in mind and (2) authentic disclosure of secret human-extraterrestrial liaison programs of the U.S. government and the presence around Earth of multiple advanced intelligent civilizations from other worlds and dimensions.
When Dr Mazlan Othman (director of the Malaysian Space Agency 2002-7) and the UN speak of ‘extraterrestrial contact,’ they are speaking of a scenario of the return of radio signals from some distant galaxy via the SETI program. They are not speaking of, and will officially fail to confirm, the evidence of an active extraterrestrial presence on Earth, and of secret human-ET liaison programs of the U.S. government.
The functional effect (and some say the mission) of the SETI program – and of the UN ‘ET’ paradigm - is to continue the cover-up of the active extraterrestrial presence on Earth, and of secret human-extraterrestrial liaison programs of he U.S. government.
This fueling of false expectations by the UN designation happened already in 2009 with the Obama ‘disclosure is imminent’ bubble and should not be encouraged again in 2010, as has happened already by this apparent reporting of a bogus announcement by the UN on its appointment of an 'extraterrestrial contact' person in Dr. Othman.

The 2010 ET disclosure wave has no such ambiguities in the case of a Sept 27, 2010 press conference held in Washington DC by U.S. nuclear missile UFO whistleblowers.
The message of the intelligent ‘extraterrestrial or interdimensional’ civilizations intervening to shut down specific nuclear missile facilities is:

The whistleblowers, all former U.S. servicemen representing more than 100 U.S. servicemen who have come forward on the issue of have a clear agenda of putting onto the public record the active intervention of extraterrestrial or interdimensional intelligent civilizations in matters relating to human nuclear weaponry.
At the Sept 27, 2010 National Press Club press conference, former U.S. servicemen Dwynne Arneson, Bruce Fenstermacher, Charles Halt, USAF Col. Robert Hastings, Robert Jamison, Patrick McDonough, Charles Halt, Jerome Nelson, and former Capt. Robert Salas, disclosed facts related to interventions by UFOs in U.S. and U.K. nuclear missile facilities.
According to news reports, “Capt Robert Salas, a former missile launch officer, said he was on duty during one incident at Malmstrom air force base in Montana in 1967.
"An object came over and hovered directly over the site," he said. "The missiles shut down. And the same thing happened at another site a week later. There's a strong interest in our missiles by these objects, wherever they come from. I personally think they're not from planet Earth.’"
News reports from the press conference also state, “Suddenly one of the objects sent a concentrated beam at the feet of the terrified men.
“'Was this a warning? An attempt to communicate? A weapon? Then just as suddenly as it appeared, it disappeared,' he said.
“The entire incident was categorised as a British affair because it had happened off base, Mr. Halt said.
“'I have no idea what we saw that night but I do know it was under intelligent control. My theory is that it was from another dimension or extra-terrestrial,' he said.
“The six former U.S. Air Force officers and one former enlisted man, all presented declassified information which they claim backs up their findings.
“They want US and British authorities to release 60 years worth of 'X-Files' they claim proves the existence of extra-terrestrials.
“And the men said that the UFOs deactivation of nuclear weapons was a message to the human race to move away from arms race.”
At the press conference, Col. Hastings, answering a journalist, stated: "I don't think there is a potential hostility [from the intelligent civilization behind the UFOs], except for the narrow mind people."
During the press conference, Col. Hastings also made a very revealing statement with regard to the impact of the ET disclosure he and his colleagues were making at this event.
Col. Hastings stated, "The only change will be a paradigm shift." In other words, Col. Hastings is stating that his hopes that the disclosure his fellow whistleblowers are making will result in a paradigm shift by the human race away from nuclear weapons and toward cooperation with other intelligent civilizations in the multi-verse.

The Denver ET commission ballot initiative, scheduled for Election Tuesday November 2, 2010, has recently gained the electoral support of a Key Latino leader whose organization is responsible for the annual Cinco de Mayo 300,000 person celebration. Veronica Barela, CEO and Executive Director of NEWSED in endorsing Initiative 300, stated, “I support Initiative 300 to create an Extraterrestrial Affairs Commission and I encourage people to vote yes."
The Denver Extraterrestrial Affairs Commission appears to be the only current initiated ordinance proposal on the Nov. 2, 2010 ballot, as opposed to no charter amendments and only one recall petition "Petition to Recall Andrea Merida from the Office of Denver Public School Board District 2"
Therefore Initiative 300 will stand out on the ballot and not be lost among a forest of other ballot initiatives, charter amendments and recall petitions at the City of Denver level.
There are no concrete present indicators as to whether Initiative 300 will actually pass on Nov. 2, 2010.

How to evaluate the 2010 ET disclosure wave so far
1. Timing - The 2010 ET disclosure wave is starting to surge in the Fall 2010 (late September, early October period), the same period as the surge of the 2009 ET disclosure wave, centered around a purported disclosure by President Barack Obama that has net yet materialized. One can question whether this Fall surge is an ‘after Labor Day’ phenomenon, or whether there are deeper dimensions driving this wave.
2. Citizen disclosure – Of the three measures so far in the 2010 ET disclosure wave, two involve substantial citizen-driven extraterrestrial disclosure – the nuclear missile UFO whistleblowers, and the Denver ET Affairs commission vote. Citizen-driven disclosure appears to be a key criterion determining whether a specific ET disclosure effort is directed at authentic disclosure of an actual extraterrestrial or interdimensional presence around Earth and of existing human-extraterrestrial liaison programs of the U.S. government.
3. The SETI model and the ET Truth embargo – The SETI model was developed and founded by the late astronomer Carl Sagan (himelf covertly knowedgeable about the UFO/ET presence around Earth) and is plausibly a sophisticated alternative ‘cover’ to authentic extraterrestrial and UFO disclosure. The SETI paradigm and many of the scientists and infrastructure devoted to SETI are hostile to the UFO/ET and Exopolitics research paradigm that states extraterrestrial and interdimensional civilizations are visiting Earth at this time and have been engaging some governments such as the U.S. for at least 50 years.
Scientists and spokespersons for the SETI model such as Seth Shostak predominate at the Oct. 4-5, 2010 Royal Society meeting at which Dr Mazlan Othman, director of the UN Outer Space Office as contact person for extraterrestrial civilizations is scheduled to speak, apparently on Near Earth Objects (NEOs) and not on SETI-type extraterrestrial contacts. Seth Shostak, who was featured by 20th Century Fox in a mini-documentary on ‘extraterrestrial contact’ along with this reporter Alfred Lambremont Webre, is diametrically opposed to disclosure of the extraterrestrial presence around Earth through the Exopolitics paradigm, and believes that ‘extraterrestrial disclosure’ will come only through the SETI paradigm.
4. Authentic ET disclosure vs. the SETI paradigm – Even if the news report itself were authentic (which as of this writing the UN itself has denied), the United Nation's very use of a SETI-type 'extraterrestrial contact' paradigm arouses false expectations of authentic extraterrestrial disclosure being undertaken by the United Nations. Similar false expectations of authentic ET disclosure unfortunately occurred in exopolitical reporting around the 2009 ET disclosure wave, by over-interpretation of purported actions within the Obama administration.
It is important not to repeat the promotion of false expectations during the 2010 ET disclosure wave by attributing to the SETI model adopted by the United Nations the same validity as citizen-driven groups that are attempting to achieve authentic disclosure of an extraterrestrial presence now on Earth.
The United Nation’s use of a SETI paradigm that itself understands ‘extraterrestrial contact’ to be contact via radio signals from deep space can be seen as a functional continuation of the ET truth embargo.

Their tools? Even Jeff Peckman had the common sense to check out my voter registration (after he stated that I was not registered to vote) and knows my affiliation.
The City of Denver's records show me as "Party Affiliation: Unaffiliated" This is public information.
I hope that the rest of the research that you do is more accurate than this.
As far as Mr. Peckman's statement; does this mean that the numbers were not correctly reported by the "Republican" Council member? I would be willing to bet that her district is not all Republicans.

My wife and I watched a silent black triangle the size of a mini-van with lights at the corners fly absolutely silently fifty feet over the tops of our heads. We watched it and had conversation about it as it flew a few blocks and made a sky turn with no inertia and no drift, above the intersection and follow one of the branching streets. It took off at rocket speed with no sound and no perceived interaction with the environment. I will not argue what we saw. We know we saw a craft of technological basis, created by something other than nature, doing things that we are told are not possible.
Since this experience, we have discovered that black triangles are seen many times a week all over the world.
I just read an article trying to explain why people “irrationally believe” in fairy dust and UFOs. To hell with psychological bs from people who have not seen what we have seen. Which brings me to my point. There are only two camps, as far as we are concerned. 1) Those who have experienced a UFO up close, and 2) Those who have not.
Of those who have not, we were once there. I was a profound skeptic. "Whether or not," is not an issue for people such as us. "Why," and "what do they want," is all that matters to us. We didn't ask for this. I don't believe in the mangy coyote fantasy of the Southwest. I don't believe in bigfoot. I don't have a tinfoil hat hat tucked in a drawer. If we could go back in time, I would stay home and not go to that street corner. This is hell to see people like us trashed by "some" with a clear agenda to do the defense attorney practice of creating reasonable doubt so we will go about our business. So, to the others out there reading this that have experienced what we have, I say that you are not alone. They want you to forget it and go about your business. I fear what they will do to us that had the misfortune of observing something we were not meant to observe and are troubled by it and can't put it down. Articles that use psycho babble to debunk UFOs are bs in that they argues for why we might be inventing such experiences in our minds. Undoubtedly there are bi-polar people who see dragons. Those that don't want the majority to see, use this to create that reasonable doubt. Don't let them confuse you. To paraphrase Abraham Lincoln, you can't fool all of the people all of the time. And those of us who cannot be fooled are the eventual tipping point. To the rest of you who have not seen, I say your wits and senses will not help you crack the truth of this. There are some who are far more focused and have much greater skill at creating smoke and mirrors to confuse than you will ever comprehend. Good luck to you who hide the truth. You know that in the end, you will not be able to keep these secrets forever, though, right now, is all you are interested in.
I don't think 'The Event' should be considered a positive move relating to disclosure. It appears continuing to follow the same theme of those evil ETs who out to get us. All they are doing otherwise is throwing bones-for example appointing Podesta to lead Obama's transition team. This is what fueled the 2009 surge. I am a healthy, psychologically intact and well-balanced PhD health professional in my late 50s. I had no personal views, one way or another about UFOs, and didn't have time in my busy personal and professional life to consider the issue at length. I was certainly aware that people around the globe were seeing objects in the sky that they could not identify. However designated investigators were, in about 95% of cases, able to explain the sightings as "natural phenomena" or misidentified aerial objects (aircraft, balloons, flares).
However, in 2009 I was sitting on my quiet deck on a clear evening watching the twilight deepen, when a unimaginably huge, matte black triangle with pulsing brilliant lights silently glided about 500 feet above my head (based on its position next to a 500 foot high hill beyond my deck). The object stopped dead for perhaps 10 seconds directly above me, and suddenly shot an extremely bright but narrow light beam (about a meter in diameter) immediately to the right of the chair that I occupied. It then ascended vertically and disappeared in a blue flash of light within about 3 seconds. The speed of ascent was so rapid, it was difficult to estimate the velocity, but certainly it was in the thousands of miles per hour range. I had not imbibed alcohol, have never taken recreational drugs and was not ill that evening. I had finished a lovely meal an hour earlier and was not hypoglycemic. As the object passed over me, a strong static electric field pulled the hair on my exposed skin and head gently upwards, (NO, my hair did NOT stand on end)!
The sense of awe and wonder I experienced was unique in my life - although similar to the birth of my first child (I realized my life had changed forever). I did not consider for one moment leaving to get a camera. I could not take my eyes off of the object. I have a new perspective on the universe and now no longer dismiss claims of possible extra-terrestrial life. Nothing we possess could possible compare with this craft. Any country that possessed this technology would likely own and control the planet. I urge you not to discount the possibility of intelligent visitors to our planet, even if the majority of reports turn out to be explainable events, and because there is a paucity of physical evidence (there have been some documented and verified imprints in soil, and other findings such as scorching vegetation or paved roads at sightings). SOMETHING is out there, is observing us, and appears to have no intention of harming us. Be cautious about ridiculing individuals who have reported sightings. Remember that Louis Pasteur, the French chemist and microbiologist, was ridiculed by his colleagues and physicians when he proposed that many diseases were caused by "INVISIBLE" life-forms or organisms that caused infections. He was ridiculed and ostracized initially, and for many years after his seminal papers were written and growing evidence supported his theory, he was considered a "crank". Just because something is not physically perceptible, or cannot be touched does not mean it cannot exist.

Where did this all start? What was the catalyst? And I don't mean Leslie Kean's book (been there done that with Greer's disclosure conference) or the Washington D.C. Press club conference on UFOs interfering with nukes. Or, NBC's "The Event" which coincidently comes on the heels of the UN diplomatic meetings. This is all very interesting stuff and I tend to believe there is actually something to this rather than just out of control group think. But it's frustrating when someone throws out off the cuff statements like Carl Sagan being in on the whole "ETs are here" thing as if its a proven fact. Is there incontrovertible proof that a man like Carl Sagan had knowledge of an ET presence and was scamming us all?

Its all a hoax people. Holograms from space shining down on earth. Funny part these UFOs only show themselves at night and hoover over airports. How about seeing if the UFOs have mass and fly into them? This is the great deception. Mankind is greedy, money rules all on earth... whoever is behind this deception, money is the main reason behind it.
Mikey, this well all could turn out to be a hoax, or a global misinterpretation of claimed events, etc.
However, it's factually incorrect to say the UFO's have been and are reported only at night and only hovering over airports. Go to the image and video search sections on Google and type in "pictures of UFO's" or something similar in the search box. You'll find daylight reports, away from any sort of airport, military air base, private air field, etc.
I'm not making an indirect argument that UFO reports -- any of them -- really do involve genuinely alien spacecraft with non-human occupants, though that is a possibility, of course.
As I see it, there are two main factors giving me pause as I consider this subject, one factor considerably stronger than the other.
The stronger is that the first radio signals left Earth not much over a century ago; let's round it off to 110 years. That means even our earliest signals, if they've not been absorbed or scattered to the point they're meaningless to anyone receiving them, are only around 110 light years away. I have no idea how many stars there are in a globe that has Earth as its center and extends 110 light years in all direction, i.e., a globe with a diameter of 220 light years. Compared even to just the stars in our own Milky Way Galaxy, the number within 110 of Earth is quite small, relatively speaking -- the nearest star other than our Sun is over 4 light years away. The fewer the stars, the fewer the possibilities for planets that can support life -- and that any such life has developed to an advanced state. Put another way, even if there are millions and millions of alien civilizations far more advanced than our, but beyond about 110 light years, they won't have heard a peep out of us (yet). So, unless some of those aliens happened to have telescope technology far, far advanced to anything we have and unless they happened to turn their telescopes our way, they wouldn't be aware of us at all. There is a second reason, if a weaker one.
That is, how likely is it any civilization within -- let's say 1,000 light years, just to increase the probability, if in an arbitrary way -- has the space travel technology to get to us? And if they do have such technology and are aware of us, would they necessarily feel any particular burning desire to drop by, so to speak? Their thinking might be vastly different than ours.
Now, if I talk about what I would LIKE to see happen within my lifetime (and hurry up please; I'm 59!)is something like several spacecraft to land simultaneously (all peacefully and with benign intent) at significant spots such the White House, Vatican, Red Square, Tiananmen Square, near the UN headquarters, etc. But there's a problem with that, too.
Remember what happened when H. G. Welles' "War of the Worlds" was broadcast over the radio in the 1930's, a broadcast a great number of people took to be a live news broadcast, their belief leading to widespread panic in the broadcast area. (Most sources insist no suicides can be definitvely tied tot he broadcast, but that only one detail in a much larger story.) Would there be global panic now? What would it do to people of a religious persuasion that doesn't permit the existence of alien intelligences and civilizations? For that matter, I've known people in my life, when I was young, who were downright atheists and who openly scorned religion BUT who believed the Earth is flat and located in the center of the Universe, and who strongly mocked anyone who even mentioned the tiniest possibility of "people" elsewhere. Those people, too, might have tremendous psychological difficulty adjusting -- if they even could.
If I were President, or held some other position that made me privy, and I KNEW we were interacting with aliens or at least that they exist and come here, I would be at a complete loss how to break that news to my country, in particular, and the world, more broadly. For starters, is the President supposed to go on global TV and say, "Just to let you know aliens from Vega A -- Vega is a star about 25 light years from us -- have had an ambassador here the last 30 years"??? And in so announcing, implying we can't protect our skies?
That might not be such a hot idea.
It's interesting that this flurry of speculation has come up that maybe the authorities are preparing us for some sort of revelation, though we need to remember this is hardly the *first* time such speculation has arisen, sometimes to a fevered level.
The government doesn't want us to know because many of us could not handle the truth if we were to be told. Another reason that the government doesn't want to tell you the truth, is because they would have to also tell you how much technology they have gleaned from extraterrestrials and that they have been holding out on us (the tax payers) for a very long time.
