The Big East may not be what it once was but one thing remains true; the competition for the conference championship will be stiff.

This season it looks as though Pittsburgh is the favorite. The Panthers were chosen by the media at Big East media day last month to win the conference and Dave Wannstedt and his players seem like they are excited for the opportunity to go out and prove that the expectations are legitimate. But if you ask Wannstedt if feels his team is the team to beat he will tell you otherwise. "Cincinnati's the team to beat," Wannstedt said at Big East media day, referring to the Bearcats and their two straight Big East championships.

Below are my predictions for the Big East final standings. Each team has a link to a team preview written by our team of writers on the site covering those teams (where available). Please share your general conference comments on this post and any team specific comments on each appropriate link.
