It’s a New Year and you a new outlook on life in general. Your new outlook should consist of new resolutions; new ways of doing things and new ways to have fun. Your new resolutions should be things that deal with health and prosperity. Your new way of doing things should relate to how you interact at work and with people in general. And lastly, finding new ways to have fun should be left up to me!
Around 11 p.m. on New Year’s Eve I was taking photos with Ray Hadder of H.Y.P.E Magazine at their first annual New Year’s bash in downtown Louisville, Kentucky. As we were taking pictures I was thinking about the year past and reflecting on the people I’ve met; so on and so forth. The one thing that stuck out in my mind when I thought about my past social meetings; most fun I had in the past year was from meeting new people in new places. Then I thought to myself: “For the 2010, I will strive not to frequent a club or social facility more than once a month.” Then a light bulb flickered in my thinker!
The new way to have fun, in 2010, is to meet new people in clubs that you don’t regularly visit. Yeah, you may run into a few clubs (or jerks) that will make you want to leave before entering but the whole of the matter is to expand your horizons and your networks. Clubs are prime ground for casual networking that is often ensued by business opportunities. Clubs can also relax you after a long days work…Happy Hour anyone? Living is not just about seeing the family grow and climbing the corporate ladder but, is more about opening your eyes to new things and clubs for this matter.
To that end, I challenge all of my readers to visit clubs they have never been to and see what becomes of the new adventure. Be a club hopper and don’t get caught in the web of “comfortable” when fun is on the horizon. Who knows? The next person you meet in your new found club may be your next big business contact or even your next lifelong companion! To the “2010 Club Hopper” live and be free.
