2010 Children's Choice Book Awards--Vote Now!

Voting is now open for the 2010 Children's Choice Book Awards. There are four categories ranging in age from Kindergarten thru the teens. Teachers, Booksellers, and librarians can vote too! Last year's winner was Breaking Dawn by Stephanie Meyer in the teen division. Your vote counts.

Voting began March15 and it runs through May 3. The winners will be announced on May 11, in New York City, at the Children's Choice Book Awards.

Votes need to be cast for Author of the year and Illustrator of the year too!

The five books listed for 7th-12th grade are:

  • Blood Promise (Vampire Academy, Book 4 in the series) by Richelle Mead
  • Blue Moon (The Immortals, Book 2) by Alyson Noel
  • Catching Fire by Suzanne Collins
  • City of Glass (The Immortal Instruments, Book 3) by Cassandra Clare
  • Shiver by Maggie Stiefvater

5th-6th grade entries are:

  • The Adventures of Benny by Steve Shreve
  • Dork Diaries: Tales from a Not-So-Fabulous Life by Rachel Renee Russell
  • Moonshot by Brian Floca
  • Outlaw: The Legend of Robin Hood by Tony Lee, Sam Hart, and Artur Fujita
  • Zoobreak by Gordon Korman

3rd-4th grade entries are:

  • The Book that Eats People by John Perry, illustrated by Mark Fearing
  • Coretta Scott by Ntozake Shange, illustrated by Kadir Nelson
  • Gonzalo Grabs the Good Life by Janice Levy, illustrated by Bill Slavin
  • Lunch Lady and the Cyborg Substitute by Jarrett J. Krosoczka
  • Oceanology by Ferdinand Zoticus deLessups

K-2 grade entries to vote for are:

  • The Birthday Pet by Ellen Javernick, illustrated by Kevin O'Malley
  • Lulu the Big Little Chick by Paulette Bogan
