2010 Camaro burnout fail

The 2010 Camaro is thought of as being the ultimate in modern-retro designed sports cars, but in the hands of the wrong driver it can surely fail. Attempting to win a burnout competition, this 2010 Camaro burnout fail reeks of epic status as the driver simply can't get the car to roast rubber. The funniest part of this burnout fail is that he first attempts the burnout while in reverse! Quickly changing into first gear, the newbie owner forgot to turn off launch control and use the brakes. It is impossible to do a starting burnout with launch control activated, and these feeble attempts are strictly hilarious.

The new 2010 Camaro's come with a feature called "launch control" that regulates the gas pedal according to engine data and wheel spin, optimizing the launch and minimizing lost control. Had the owner of this 2010 Camaro been smart enough to turn off launch control, the burnout may have been more spectacular. The best feature of launch control is that it automatically disengages once a certain speed has been met, and is only active during the beginning of a race from a standstill position. Maybe this is the reason the driver was confused?

Regardless of how dumb this may be, this happens more often than not. Technology in new vehicles is great but it can be limiting if not properly assessed. Traction control can also be a hassle, along with speed and rev limiters. A simple re-tune of the ECU parameters available from your local pro-tune can deactivate these annoyances. Disengaging these devices isn't for everyone though, please properly assess your driving skills before venturing into uncharted waters of computer compensation. Launch control, traction control, speed and rev limiters are there for a reason and not just to annoy you. Nine times out of ten, these proactive controls save lives, prevent accidents, and lower insurance rates; thus revealing their true purpose. If you are going to disengage these devices, be ready to do some real driving or face the consequences.
