2010 Big Ten mat champ Lance Palmer wins 2d MMA bout at "Fight For Wrestling IV"

Lance Palmer, 2010 Big Ten 149-pound wrestling champ for Ohio State, won his second pro MMA match at "Fight For Wrestling IV" in San Luis Obispo, Calif. Saturday night.

At the event -- a fundraiser for the Cal Poly wrestling program -- Palmer scored a unanimous decision over MMA veteran Chris "Dark Lotus" David of Oroville, Calif. All three judges scored the fight 30-27 for the former Buckeye matman.

After the victory, Palmer Tweeted, "Winning feels great. I won't have it any other way."

With the win, Palmer is now 2-0. The Cleveland area native made his mixed martial arts debut at the "Fight For Wrestling" fundraiser for the California State University, Bakersfield wrestling program in May. Palmer won that match by submission in the first round.
