Bubble Teams Needing a Win: None
Strangely enough, there isn't actually a Big 12 team on the bubble at the moment. Texas and Missouri are dangerously close, but neither is in serious jeopardy of falling short of an at-large bid.
Player to Watch: Cory Higgins-Colorado
Colorado's third year scorer poured in 30 to beat Texas Tech on Saturday, and he's averaging 25.3 over his last four games. Higgins' efforts also helped to force a rematch with the Raiders on Wednesday, which is a horrible thing for Texas Tech's hopes at a miracle run. If Higgins gets hot, the Buffaloes have the potential to put a scare into top-ranked Kansas in the second round.
Prediction: Kansas
Before their early exit in last year's Big 12 Tournament (loss to No. 11 Baylor), the Jayhawks had won three straight league titles. And after a season full of dominance, I'm ready to proclaim that Bill Self's current roster is just as talented as his '08 NCAA title squad. Look for the Jayhawks to cement the NCAA Tournament's No. 1 overall seed with a strong showing here in Kansas City.
