2009 World Series of Poker final table starts tomorrow

The three month wait is just about over for the highly anticipated final table in WSOP history, and poker fans are pining for the action to resume. And the number one question on everyone’s mind is: Can Phil Ivey do it?
Well, according to the betting lines Ivey is 7-to-2 to take home the title: Not too shabby when you consider he is 7th in chips, and is considered to have the 3rd best chance of winning, according to the odds –behind chip-leaders Darvin Moon and Eric Buchman.
This means either Ivey is simply that much better than the other competitors, or more precisely, the people wagering money on the final table think Ivey is that much better. Here are the complete betting lines for the final table:
Darvin Moon - 2/1
Eric Buchman - 3/1
Phil Ivey - 7/2
Jeff Shulman - 4/1
Steven Begleiter - 11/2
Joe Cada - 10/1
Kevin Schaffel - 12/1
Antoine Saout - 13/1
James Akenhead - 15/1
Come tomorrow all the speculation will come to a close, as the “November Nine” once again take to the felt: The competitors will play down to the final two players, who will then have a 24 hour hiatus before they begin their heads-up battle on Monday night. ESPN will air its final table coverage a mere day later on Tuesday night.
