
The voices of America’s teens were heard loud and clear last night at the 2009 Teen Choice Awards held at the Gibson Amphitheater at Universal City, California.
From June 15 to August 1, a total of 83 million votes were cast for teen favorites in multiple categories ranging from movies and television to sports and music, along with some unique categories.
The evening’s big winners were: "Twilight" winning 11 awards (out of 12 nominations); Britney Spears who received the Ultimate Choice Award and David Archuleta, who picked up three surfboards in the music field.
Other teen favorites who walked away with honors were Miley Cyrus, for her Choice Music Single, “The Climb," and the Jonas Brothers for their album Lines, Vines and Trying Times as well as their Summer Song – "Before the Storm," which also featured Miley Cyrus.
The 2009 Teen Choice Awards will air this evening, Monday, August 10, 2009 on the Fox Television channel at 8:00 p.m. ET
