Only two days until runners and fans hit the streets for the epic 2009 Seattle Rock ‘n’ Roll Marathon. The race begins at 7:00 am on Saturday, June 27 in Tukwila and finishes at Qwest Field in downtown Seattle.

The first part of the course takes the runners from Tukwila to Seward Park and along Lake Washington to the I-90 Bridge. Half-marathoners will run back to Qwest field at that point and full-marathoners will run over the bridge and back before continuing north through downtown Seattle and along Lake Union, then returning to Qwest Field.

The event kicks off Thursday, June 25 with a free two day Health & Fitness Expo, open to the public. The Expo opens at 11:00 am on Thursday and 10:00 am on Friday, featuring 100 exhibitors of running apparel, footwear, health and nutrition products.

The bands along the course will provide plenty of entertainment for everyone and the race weekend ends with a great party at Marymoor Park in Redmond with singer Keb Mo headlining at 8:00 pm.
