Last year, Nike announced the 10k Nike Human Race, which would be known as the day the entire world ran. The event included races in 25 cities around the world, but also allowed runners to join from any corner of the world by logging their miles through nikeplus.com, using a Nike+ iPod or Nike+ SportBand. The goal of the Nike Human Race was to celebrate running, which can be done virtually anywhere, and integrate a truly global connection to the sport.
The 2009 Nike Human Race will take place Saturday, October 24. Participating locations in the United States include New York City (Brooklyn), Ohio State University, and University of Southern California.
