2009 FedEx Cup Playoffs points distribution breakdown

SF Golf Examiner
The 2009 FedEx Cup Playoffs feature a new points system. Each event pays out 2,500 points to the winner, which is five times more points than a regular season event.
Below is a chart outlining the points distribution for each 2009 FedEx Cup Playoff event, starting with The Barclays. The new points system, combined with the fact that points won't be reset until the Tour Championship, give anyone in the top-10 a viable chance to win the playoffs, and anyone on the list a chance to fight their way into the Tour Championship.
2009 FedEx Cup Playoff Points Distribution

Events that finish more than 70 players, such as The Barclays and the Deutsche Bank, will award 0.1 points per finishing place beyond 70.
For ties the distribution of points will be handled in the same manner that distribution of cash is in the regular season: all of the points for the tying positions will be added together and divided equally among the tying players.
