Today it was been brought to my attention that the 2009 Primetime Emmy’s left out legendary TV pitch-man Billy Mays during it’s tribute to stars who passed away. I am sure I am sure I would have noticed sooner, had I not been listening while typing away, with only the occasional glance toward my TV.
For those of you who missed alll of it, the Emmy’s showed a beautiful and touching montage of stars who had passed away last year. Songstress Sarah McLaclan sang her trademark song “ I will remember you” as images of legends like David Carradine, Walter Cronkite, Farrah Fawcett, Ed Mc Mahon, Patrick Swayze and King of Pop Michael Jackson were projected on the hugh screen above. One by one one the departed stars appeared on screen as fans clapped in appreciation, but one star was forgotten...Billy Mays.
My past articles on Billy Mays untimely death, generated lots of comments. In my opinion this only confirms how much he meant to his many fans. Too bad the Emmy’s left this “King of infomercial’s” off it’s “list”.
Do you think the Emmy's should apologize?
