Jim Furyk, Sean O'Hair and Retief Goosen played together for the second day in a row at the 2009 Deutsche Bank Championship, and fed off of each other's momentum all morning long. Furyk and O'Hair have set the clubhouse lead at -12, but it was O'Hair who was truly on fire this morning at the TPC Boston.

O'Hair shot a blistering -7 (64) that included six birdies and an eagle to offset his lone bogey of the day. Increased fairway accuracy and greens in regulation helped O'Hair leap into a tie for the lead with playing partner Furyk.

Furyk managed to hit every green in regulation on Friday, a feat that helped him shoot a bogey-free first round. Missed fairways and missed greens on Saturday accounted for two blemishes on Furyk's scorecard, who still managed to shoot a -4 (68) on Saturday morning.

Retief Goosen was the third player in the Furyk and O'Hair's group, and he carded a -4 (67) to move into a tie for second place at -10 for the DBC. Goosen has had a resurgence this season,  winning on the PGA Tour for the first time since 2005 at the Transitions Championship, and finishing in the top-10 four times.

The low round of the morning belongs to Autralian Mark Leishman who shot a staggering -9 (62) to skyrocket into a tie for second place at -10 overall. Leishman's bogey-free round included an eagle at 18 to close out his front nine at -6 (29), and five under-par holes in a row from #16 - #2 (he started on #10).

Geoff Ogilvy, Dustin Johnson and Jason Dufner are all in the clubhouse at -8 for the tournament, tied with yesterday's leader Steve Stricker who has yet to tee of this afternoon. Stricker, playing with Tiger Woods and Heath Slocum for the second day in a row at the Deutsche Bank Championship, has been unfazed by being paired with the world's #1, outgunning Tiger by seven strokes on Friday.

Phil Mickelson managed to get under par for the first time in this post season, posting a -3 today that moves him to -3 for the tournament. Leftie needs to make a good showing this week if he is going to be relevant at the Tour Championship. Mickelson is currently in 10th place in the FedEx Cup points race, and in serious danger of sliding with a bad finish this weekend.

Thanks to the FedEx Cup's new points system, anyone in the top-5 in the FedEx Cup points race going in to the Tour Championship will control their destiny for winning it all. Like it or not, the new points system and points reset after the BMW Championship have set up the Tour Championship to be the Superbowl of the PGA Tour.

Afternoon groupings are heading out right now, among them Padraig Harrington and Angel Cabrera, Stricker, Woods and Slocum. Tune back in here for results when the round is over.
