2009 Brothers' Carl Weathers ~ remember him as Apollo Creed in Rocky?

Brothers was an American television sitcom that originally aired on the cable network Showtime from July 13, 1984 to July 25, 1989. The show focused on the three Waters brothers.

Set in south Philadelphia, Brothers centered around the lives and relationships of the Waters brothers.

For 2009, Brothers is scheduled to premiere on Fox on September 25th. It will air on Friday nights at 8:00 p.m.  This season's stars are:  Michael Strahan, Daryl "Chill" Mitchell, Carl Weathers and CCH Pounder.

The show will star former NFL star Michael Strahan and Daryl "Chill" Mitchell as estranged brothers who are pressured to get along by their parents (played by Carl Weathers and CCH Pounder) after Strahan's character moves back to his home town of Houston.

Carl Weathers is an actor, as well as former professional football player in the United States and Canada. He is well known for playing Apollo Creed in the Rocky series of films, as well as his role as Dillon in the first Predator movie.

Weathers also appeared in Michael Jackson's "Liberian Girl" music video, and played Chubbs in Happy Gilmore, teaching Happy how to play golf. ~ Among the many talent in Liberian Girl were: Paula Abdul, Bubbles,  Bubble alive and well, Danny Glover and John Travolta.

During the final season of In the Heat of the Night, his character of Hampton Forbes replaced Bill Gillespie as the chief of the Sparta, Mississippi police. He continued that role in the television movies based on the series.

In 2004, Weathers received a career revival as a comedic actor beginning with appearances in three episodes of the comedy series Arrested Development, also in The Sasquatch Gang and The Comebacks.  More shows to follow up to current day starring role on Brothers.
