2009 Birmingham Invitational

This weekend is the 2009 Birmingham Invitational, co-hosted by
and Seaholm high schools.  Both schools are only four minutes apart (per Google maps) and opened new pools within the past the couple of years.

The tournament is comprised of 30 games, evenly distributed between the
and Seaholm sites.  Twelve teams are participating, ten from Michigan and two from
.  The Michigan teams are:  Ann Arbor Pioneer, Grandville, Rockford, Grand Haven, Zeeland, Okemos, Ann Arbor Huron, Troy, and the two
schools.  The Ohio teams are Upper Arlington and St. Francis (

The tournament begins Friday (10/2) with games between Ann Arbor Pioneer and Grandville at
, and Seaholm versus St. Francis at Seaholm.  A total of ten games take place on Friday, and the other twenty on Saturday.  Play on Saturday begins at 9:00 am in both pools and the final games of the day are scheduled for 7:05 pm.
