RuneScape 2007 old school servers are officially returning to RuneScape! Within hours of the vote released, the required 50,000 votes accumulated. For $15 a month, all members can play in the old school servers, and will see minimal maintenance and no updates.
This is the lowest level of server return, but the easiest goal to reach. If the next three goals of 250k, 500k, and 750k votes are reached, the membership fee will decrease, be waived, and the game will open to free players. Maintenance will increase incrementally, climaxing in consistent maintenance with updates to the game content.
The current vote total, only hours after the poll was released, is over 72,000 votes and increasing steadily as more players are able to vote. Jagex and RuneScape Examiner guides both encourage all RuneScape players to get the word out, to bring back as an additional option, the game that we knew and loved in our early days of playing.
