Yard sale addicts in the Southeast get ready for a 200 mile long yard sale this month. Peaches to the Beaches will take place on March 14-15, 2014 along US Highway 341. This is the 10th annual sale and stretches from Forsyth, GA just north of Macon, through peach-growing counties to the coast and the Golden Isles. Visitors and Georgia residents will enjoy a variety of different kinds of yard sales, antique sales, flea markets, and friendly Georgians eager to provide information about their community and events along the way.

Official yard sale hours are Saturday March 14-15, 8 AM - 6 PM, rain or shine. Vendors along the route will be selling a wide variety of items including antiques, vintage items, clothing, kitchen items, tools, baby items, locally made handcrafted items like regional foods and soaps, and good old fashioned junk. Some sites along the route will be multi-organization and may include individual residents, churches, or non-profits like The Boy Scouts or local Humane Societies. A special vendor sign will identify each participating site.

Participating communities include Barnesville, Roberta, Fort Valley, Perry, Hawkinsville, Eastman, Chauncey, Helena, McRae, Lumber City, Hazlehurst, Baxley, Odum, Jesup, and Brunswick. The event is sponsored by the Golden Isles Parkway Association. This is a membership group the represents the different Chambers of Commerce that make up the Golden Isles region of the Georgia coast.

Peaches to the Beaches is a great opportunity for eBay sellers to purchase merchandise for resale, and a great excuse to visit the beach for the weekend. Visit the official website here for maps, a photo gallery, and lodging information.
