Update 6/29/14: Jin Do has been adopted!

A nearly 21-year-old dog, who could almost be setting "oldest dog" records, has found herself without a home and a family, after she was surrendered to the Los Angeles County Animal Care and Control facility in Baldwin Park, Calif., on June 25.

The dog's name is "Jin Do," and her stated age on the facility's dog adoption listing is 20 years and 11 months. Jin Do, who is described as a Korean Jindo, is no stranger to this facility - the family that surrendered her also found and adopted her from this same shelter years ago.

Exactly why Jin Do is back at the animal control facility is a mystery.

Dog-lovers who have learned about Jin Do's situation are scrambling to find somewhere for her to go - somewhere that is not a lonely, frightening kennel run. Though Jin Do is definitely a senior dog, she is said to be in relatively good condition, albeit a bit thin and suffering from some arthritis.

Please take a moment to network Jin Do's information - she deserves to spend the rest of her life in the company of a guardian who wants to provide her with a soft bed, quality food, and unconditional love.
