It appears politics and morals are becoming indistinguishable. As man evolves, politically correct views and the laws of man appear to overwrite the laws of God. Deception has become a major principality over our nation. There is so much false information the truth is discarded; much like throwing the baby away with the bath water.
When President Obama ran for office as the first President known to have African blood racism ran rapid. HBO showed a documentary “Right America Feeling Wronged” that exposed the attitudes of many Americans when faced with the possibility of having a President of color. Stones flew and deception ran rapid.
Despite Obama’s second term many people still raise untrue arguments. The country is divided. Thought has emerged that you are either Right or Left, Democrat or Republican, Liberal or Conservative. Stones of deception fly as a result of this categorical thinking.
No matter which political party you prefer when it comes to issues of morality we should be able to overlook our political differences. I am no fan of Rep. Trent Franks; however, Franks is my hero Du jour. He has introduced a House bill; the Pain-Capable Unborn Child Protection Act, which would ban abortions after 20 weeks of pregnancy.
I received an e-mail implying my support was expected because of my political affiliation. Instead of a donation, the link for "Silent Scream" and a scripture were returned in the reply. Regardless of personal opinions on Franks or any individual, the Pain-Capable Unborn Child Protection Act is a good thing. It is a moral issue and should not be conjoined to politics and overlooked as a political issue.
