$20 spay and neuter project soon offered to McKinney residents

Residents of McKinney will soon have a new low-cost option when it comes to spaying and neutering their pets. The SPCA of Texas has announced that their McKinney location will soon begin offering $20 sterilization surgeries to pet owners in their area.

According to a spokesperson, "The SPCA of Texas is officially launching a new, two-year program called 'Project SNYP' (Spay or Neuter Your Pups) thanks to a $200,000 grant from PetSmart Charities®."

This program includes vaccinations and microchips. The shelter hopes to reduce the number of unwanted puppies and kittens by offering thier services at a fraction of the typical cost. And reaching out to hundreds of people.

Appointments are being made for Wednesday, January 30th. The services will be provided at 8411 Stacy Road. Residents may call (214) 742-SPCA for more information or to be placed on the list.
