Jason "Rooster" Schwab from Columbia, SC is ranked #5 in the World (2009) and was kind enough to participate in the popular "20 Questions" essay.

Jason is a right handed pitcher who uses the "step shot" approach. Although Jason hasn't been a Pro very long, he is already one of the top contenders in the very popular sport of Cornhole. He is also a huge Michael Jordan fan!

What is your full name?
Jason Schwab but in the cornhole world, most people just call me Rooster

Where were you born?
Cincinnati, OH. West side!

Where do you reside right now?
Columbia in the beautiful state of South Carolina

Married or Single?
Single as a one dollar bill

Do you have any children?
A dog named Kiley

What do you currently do for a living?
High School math teacher in Newberry, SC

When did you first hear about Cornhole?
At some party in Clifton in like 2001 or something

If you could be a Pro in another sport what would it be?

Beer pong or basketball

Any other Hobbies?
I can juggle 5 balls or 3 torches or knives but don't do it too ofen anymore b/c cornhole is more lucrative.

If you won the lottery what would you do first?
Throw a kick ass party and then pay off student loans online while at said party

At what point did you realize you were better than most at Cornhole?
At that party in clifton in '01 when me and my friend ran the boards all night. Any games that involve shooting are my forte.

What year did you become an ACO Pro?
2008

How did you place in your very first ACO tournament?
Top 4 finish at cornhole de mayo '08 losing to KT

When and where did you win your first ACO tournament?
Maize kraze '08 in spartanburg beating KT

How much cash did you win in your first ACO tournament?
Like 180 something maybe. Bought me a tank of gas to get home and a fancy overpriced dinner at arby's to celebrate

What is your proudest moment so far in the sport of Cornhole?
Winning the classic in '09. I just came off a big loss on fountain square so i needed a big win and i had to work hard to get it going through Stagge, Damon, and Cook.

Do you like the attention you get being a Pro player?
My throwing style gets more attention than i do b/c it's different. I like when people see it for the first time

Which Pro player(s) do you enjoy having a beer with most?
Other than my carolina people, i'd say the WV crew. They're good people. Or Adam Stables and his girl Carmen. They're also good people. I like having beers with whoever's buying too.

How do you see the sport of Cornhole 5 years from now?
I see it on ESPN and hopefully as a way for me to pay off loans and get a house or two. Hopefully...

How would you feel being in a tournament on National TV?
I feel like it would take me one step closer to fulfilling my ultimate goal in life which is meeting Michael Jordan.
