Are you looking to spice up your workout? Alternate the dumbbell for the dynamic kettlebell exercise workout. Kettlebells are more challenging than the traditional dumbbells and provide faster fat loss results.
Both the kettlebell and dumbbell work to increase muscle strength and endurance. A kettlebell workout also builds the cardiovascular system. Its dynamic swinging movement makes it difficult to handle, so more stabilizing muscles are working harder. Since many different body parts and muscles are engaged at one time, the heart rate is raised.
Unlike the dumbbell, the kettlebell does not build bulk- it builds lean muscle. A 20 minute kettlebell workout can burn up to 300 calories. Definition to shoulders, back, glutes, core and arms are a result of the muscles working harder. The biggest benefits to working out with kettlebells are weight-loss, an increase in muscle mass and overall fitness, faster fat loss results and toned muscles.
For optimal results, perform total body toning with kettlebells 2-3 days a week for 20 minutes. Repeat 2-3 circuits. The following are suggestions for exercises:
