On Jan. 15, authorities confirmed that 2 people were killed and one more was injured in a college shooting in Kentucky. According to a police dispatcher, the college shooting occurred around 5:30 p.m.
The 2 people killed along with the injured teenager were all shot in the parking lot of a Kentucky community college, CBS12 reported on Jan. 15.
After the college shooting, the school was kept on lockdown status for hours. Stephen Greiner, president of the school, said the buildings were searched and no signs of the shooter were found inside.
Following the incident, 2 people came to the Kentucky State Police post in Hazard and stated that they were involved in the shooting, police spokesman Tony Watts said. However, he wasn't sure if they were suspects in the actual shooting or just witnesses at the time.
The 2 men were detained by State police until they were later taken into custody by Hazard police.
